FA Cup 2011/12 - First Round Proper
This first round of the FA Cup took place over the weekend of 12th-13th November 2011, and if your team was lucky enough to get past this section then they would have received a winners fee of £16,000. For many of the sides who play at this level this cash injection on top of increased gates could be a season saving lifeline.
The teams that are eligible for this round of the contest are all those who have won their Fourth Round Qualifier matches. Also joining them will be all of the 48 teams from League One and League Two who due to their status were exempt from the earlier rounds.

The 2010/11 First Round Draw Results
The major upset of the 2010/11 First Round Draw was FC United of Manchester, a side that were created just 5 years ago, who beat Rochdale 3-2. AFC Wimbledon were denied the chance to play MK Dons as the Dons crashed out losing 7-6 on penalties to Stevenage. However AFC did their bit as they defeated Ebbsfleet 2-3.
