Third Round Qualifying 2011/12 - Goals Galore In Third Qualifying Round

The FA Cup returned on Saturday 15th October as the competition entered into the Third Qualifying Round. It was yet another exciting day packed full of drama, goals and upsets. Maidenhead United were the shock winners of the day as they thrashed Woking 4-1, while there were wins for the likes of Blyth Spartans, Sutton United and Basingstoke. There were a number of big scorelines with Gloucester crushing Truro City 7-2, Stourbridge and Southend Manor both winning 5-0 and Salisbury City hammering Poole Town 6-1. Elsewhere Lancaster, who knocked-out FC United of Manchester in the previous round, were defeated 0-3 by Halifax Town.
